It is a local non-profit organization in Uganda that works to preserve, restore and promote the environment.
The organization was started in 2015 by community members of Masaka district to protect the then much deforested region. The organization encouraged and mobilized communities to plant more trees to replace the lost nature that was much turned into timber and charcoal for cooking.
Members of the organization believe that economic development of the community will only be sustainable (millennium development goal 7) if matters concerning environmental conservation are checked since the major economic determinants (agriculture, food production, fertile land and clean water) are directly affected by the state of the environment and climatic changes.
The organisation has carried out various Sensitization projects using various platforms including Radios, Loudspeakers and meetings to Inform the community about the Environment.
The Organisation has engaged its self in digging and construction of wells for communities with poor accesibility to safe water forexample Sembabule-Mawogola
The Organisation encourages and has planted more than 50000 trees in 2019/2020 and we look forward to increase the number in 2021 in conjuction with the community.
Wetlands and swamps are homes of wild animals and birds including Kobs, creasted crane. The organisation has always made sure that activities that encroach on such places are handled by authorities
The Organisation supports youth and women Entrepreneurs who engage in activities that increase food production by providing technical support, seeeds and market for the produce.
One of our core values is Environmentalism", we therefore plan to plant more trees in 2021 in order to continue restoring our green climate. The organisation has secured a tree nursery to help the organisation implement this program. We also encorage more people to join the organisation in implementing this cause. You can plant a tree atleast once a month and encourage your daughters and sons to do the same. Together we can save our climate.
With the success of the first 5 projects in tomatoes and green papers, the organisation has decided to extend the project to benefit more household. Mr Kateregga Dagras the project coordinator asked members willing to take on projects to register with respective coordinators before aPRIL 2020
